October 2012:
Clinician and TV Host Julie Goodnight announces her 2013 Clinic Tour Schedule—with opportunities to meet her in person and ask your horsemanship questions. In 2013, Goodnight will travel to California, New Jersey, Colorado (multiple appearances), Washington, Minnesota, Virginia, Massachusetts, Wisconsin and Ohio.

Each of Goodnight’s clinic tour stops provides an opportunity for horse owners to ride with Goodnight. Audiences are also invited to watch and learn in a friendly environment for a nominal cost.
Clinics are fun and active, with a focus on bridging natural horsemanship techniques with the principles of classical riding. Goodnight's teachings are focused on finding success and improvement for each and every horse and rider by developing a deeper understanding of the horse and riding skills that lead to a balanced and rhythmic rider and a light and responsive horse.
Expect to work together in the arena all day, doing both ground work and mounted work, with a focus on refining riding skills and developing a better relationship with your horse. All ability levels are welcome as long as the rider has basic control at the walk and trot. Each rider works at his/her own pace without pressure to go outside you or your horse’s comfort zone.

Click here to register to ride or purchase spectator tickets now: http://juliegoodnight.com/clinics. You may also call 800-225-8827, M-F, 9-5 MST for friendly help.

What Julie Goodnight's Clinic Attendees Say:
"I am putting all the things I learned at the clinic to use, most importantly, my seat and balance in the saddle. What a difference it makes in my ride, especially at the canter where I am doing so much better. My horse is traveling better since I am more in balance sitting in the middle of the saddle on my seatbones and relaxed. My confidence has also improved. Looking forward to next year!"
"I learned so much even being just a spectator. Julie addresses all issues to the riders as well as her audience and gives so freely of her advice to everyone. She wants to help everyone...She is really an amazing person and explains everything so well. She is very patient, attentive, and ever so gracious with her time."
"I thoroughly enjoyed the clinic. I especially appreciate Julie's ability to meet each rider at his or her experience level, her willingness to allow proper application of alternate methods, and her dedication to producing more knowledgeable riders...As any good instructor, she focuses on reinforcing each participant for what is being done correctly and asking for the specific changes which will improve his or her skills. Julie uses techniques which respond to the horse's earliest attempts to offer the correct response thereby keeping the horse within a frame of mind in which it is able to learn and process information. This reduces stress, avoids panic and explosive aversion, and encourages handling techniques that are safe for all participants to practice at home or in a group setting...I wholeheartedly recommend her clinics to others."

September 2012:
Is your horse well-trained, and you're ready to add a neck rope to your riding regimen, in preparation to go bridle-less? Clinician Julie Goodnight recommends riding with a neck rope and your bridle to know you have control before you do bridle-less work.

Pick up Goodnight's neck rope, a handy training tool designed by Goodnight for training her own horses and now available for the advanced horse and rider for riding bridle-less and in preparation for doing ground work at liberty.

This neck rope can be used for bridle-less riding, to help guide the horse without the bridle, or as a neck collar for doing ground work without a halter, in preparation for doing ground work at liberty. Twisted marine cord provides stiffness to aid in cueing while the leather breakaway keeps your horse safe. Plus, a leather strap on the tail-end allows easy connection to the saddle when not in use.

"I designed this neck rope to be a safe and ef
fective tool to use for riding your horse without the bridle—the ultimate sign of an excellent horse and rider," says Goodnight. "The neck rope gives you great control when needed for turning or stopping without the bridle. The stiffness and contours of the rope help your horse feel the aid better, and the leather breakaway and connector strap are safe for your horse and convenient for you. Aside from bridle-less work, this neck rope is also very handy as an intermediate step between doing groundwork with a halter/lead and working at liberty."

The neck rope is on sale at
http://Shopping.JulieGoodnight.com. For tips on training your horse to be ridden without the bridle, visit http://juliegoodnight.com/bridleless.

August 2012:
Add a traditional Western touch to your riding presentation and help your horse shake off summer flies at the same time with Julie Goodnight's 12" long shoo-fly.

Made from black, chestnut and white tail hair, the shoo-fly hangs on the saddle cinch between your horse's legs. The triple-bell mule cut on the tassel makes it unique, and you can choose from a white or black top color to match your horse. The shoo-fly also gives your horse another way to shake off flies when they’re bothering him.

"I've ridden with a shoo-fly under my saddle for years, and lots of people have asked about it," says Goodnight. "Your horse will like it, and it gives a nice classic, traditional Western look to your saddle."

The shoo-fly and matching 2" tassels for the browband of your horse's headstall are on sale at

Circle Y Saddles, Inc. Acquires Reinsman

YOAKUM, Texas (June 8, 2012): Circle Y Saddles, Inc., America’s Leading Saddle Brand, has acquired the business operations of Reinsman Equestrian Products effective May 31, 2012.

The addition of the Reinsman brand follows Circle Y’s commitment to expand its market presence in saddles, tack and related accessories.  The Reinsman brand will continue to be marketed and sold independently of the Circle Y family of brands which also includes High Horse saddles and Tucker Trail saddles.

The Reinsman brand was established in 1993 by Glen Taylor and Bob Brandon, originally manufacturing quality handmade stainless steel bits in Cleveland, TN.   In 1995 the product line was expanded with the addition of saddle pads, and a line of leather strap goods was added in 1998.  In 2002, Reinsman started a new line of western saddles.  Looking for a skilled and experienced workforce of saddle craftsmen, Reinsman established their saddle factory in Yoakum, Texas, also home to the Circle Y, High Horse, and Tucker brands.

Speaking on behalf of the entire Circle Y and Tucker Saddlery family, I am excited that we have successfully added the Reinsman brand to our offering of high quality products.  We appreciate the value of the Reinsman brand and the contributions the company has made to our industry.  I have recently come to know many key members of the Reinsman team.  They share my desire to provide excellent products and service to our dealers and end users.  As we move forward together, I am confident they will continue to play an important role in our combined efforts to create innovative products and protect American manufacturing jobs,” said Steve Tucker, President of Circle Y Saddles, Inc.

“I look forward to meeting everyone on the Reinsman team, and I look forward to working with these great people to continuously strengthen the brand as we move forward,” said Mark Jemelka, chief operating officer of Circle Y Saddles.

Circle Y Saddles, Inc. is America’s Leading Saddle Brand. Circle Y’s innovative products reflect the current trends in design and are ahead of the industry in technology. Circle Y started saddle manufacturing in 1960 in the small Texas town of Yoakum. Still located there, Circle Y continues to produce high quality saddles and tack with the heritage and tradition the company was founded on. Circle Y saddles and tack are sold through a network of authorized dealers; visit www.circley.com to learn more.

Apply to be on the show:

Goodnight is pleased to announce that she and her crew will tape again at White Stallion Ranch in January 20-25, 2013. Applications are now being accepted at HorseMaster.tv for horses and riders who would like to be on the show.  The set is closed to all but selected cast and crew.

Getting ready for its sixth year on RFD-TV, the award winning Horse Master with Julie Goodnight show’s cast and crew is thrilled to return to this premiere guest ranch.

Goodnight will choose a variety of cast members—those working on advanced riding maneuvers, those with challenges during ground work lessons, and those who would like to overcome obstacles on the trail or in the show ring. English and Western riders are welcome to apply.

About White Stallion Ranch:

The True family’s White Stallion Ranch has over 3,000 acres of wide-open land and is based at the foot of the Tucson Mountains, adjacent to the Saguaro National Park. The Horse Master cast and crew will shoot at the main ranch and plans trail riding episodes to make the best use of the scenery. If you’re selected for the cast on this closed set, you’ll be treated to reduced rates to stay at the ranch.

Those wishing to stay and play after shoot week may participate in the ranch’s activities including guided trail rides and even time working cattle (it is a working Longhorn cattle ranch). You can also see where Western Movies such as Arizona with William Holden and How the West Was Won with James Arness were filmed.

If you and your horse are near Tucson and would love some down-to-earth help from Goodnight, this is your chance! Apply today.   Stay tuned to Horse Master for more shoot locations or search for “Horse Master with Julie Goodnight” on Facebook.
