THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN HORSE EXPO MARCH 8-11
Showcasing Nationally known Clinicians
DENVER – February 1, 2012 – Thousands of horse lovers from around the region are getting ready for the 20th annual Rocky Mountain Horse Expo, with four-days of horse related family entertainment, education, exhibits, art and demonstrations scheduled for March 9-11 at the National Western complex in Denver. The Expo is produced by the Colorado Horse Council, is “the largest horse industry trade show in the Western United States,”[O1] claimed Bill Scebbi, the Executive Director of the Colorado Horse Council.
Expo 2012 features every type and size of horse, from show horses to working horses, dancing horses and ponies, and gives horse owners and fans the chance to meet and learn from the region’s leading horse trainers, riders and clinicians.
Highlights this year include the Friday and Saturday night Mane Event performances with professional equine entertainers, and over 45 clinics per day featuring horsemanship workshops, riding, extreme trail, dressage and jumping demonstrations, a holistic horse fair, and nationally known equestrian artists.
The headliners for Expo 2012 are Julie Goodnight, Jane Savoie, Susan Harris, Mark Bolender and Richard Shrake. Each clinician will be teaching a variety of styles and techniques showcasing nationally known workshops.
Julie Goodnight offers dressage, jumping, racing, reining, colt-starting and wilderness riding offering special classes in Canter Master and Natural Ride. Jane Savoie’s visibility as a dressage competitor, coach, instructor, clinician, speaker, and author makes her truly unique within the English community. Susan Harris has taught all styles of riding, and has trained horses and riders for competition in many equestrian disciplines, including hunters, jumpers, dressage, equitation, eventing, western pleasure and performance, saddle seat and the pleasure and versatility breeds and will be focusing on the horse anatomy as well as centered riding. As a nationally recognized horseman and instructor Mark Bolender is a leading expert in the sport of Extreme Trail, Mountain Trail, and Competitive Trail and will be offering multiple classes for the whole family to enjoy. As an internationally renowned trainer, Richard Shrake has experience as a judge and clinician who has designed a collection of bits, the Resistance Free® Bit Series to help improve and ride while being conscious of the horse and style.
