Goodnight to Speak at NARHA Conference
Denver—Colorado’s own Horse Master Julie Goodnight is scheduled to speak at the NARHA 2010 National Conference and Annual Meeting. The conference is November 3-6, 2010, in Denver, CO. Goodnight will headline the 2010 Horse Expo at the National Conference Saturday, November 6, 2010, in the Stadium Hall and Stadium Arena at the National Western Complex in Denver.
Goodnight has more than a quarter-century of horse training experience. Her varied background ranges from dressage and jumping to racing, reining, colt-starting and wilderness riding. She teaches "Classic Skills for a Natural Ride" and travels coast-to-coast and beyond to film her award-winning television show Horse Master, as well as to appear at horse expos, conferences and clinics. Her training and teaching techniques are frequent features of Horse & Rider, The Trail Rider and America's Horse. In 2008, she was named Equine Affaire's Exceptional Equestrian Educator—one of only three awards ever given. Goodnight resides near Salida, Colorado, at her private horse ranch with her husband, Rich Moorhead.

About NARHA:
NARHA was formed in 1969 to promote equine assisted activities and therapies for individuals with special needs. At over 700 member centers, a total of 42,000 children and adults find a sense of independence through involvement with horses. These member centers range from small, one-person programs to large operations with several certified instructors and licensed therapists. In addition to therapeutic equitation, a center may offer any number of equine assisted activities including hippotherapy, equine facilitated mental health, driving, interactive vaulting, trail riding, competition, ground work, or stable management. Through a wide variety of educational resources, the association helps individuals start and maintain successful equine assisted activities and therapies for individuals with special needs. There are more than 24,000 volunteers, 2000 instructors, 5,700 therapy horses and thousands of contributors from all over the world helping people at NARHA centers.
