Cox Cable RFD-TV and RURAL TV/FAMILYNET

Attention Cox Cable customers.

This is important!  If you wish to continue to have RFD-TV and/or FamilNet on your Cox channel lineup after Februrary 1st, now is the time to show your support for our family-oriented programming.

Unfortunately, some big urban-based media giants are trying to pressure certain cable companies to remove independent channels, such as ours, off that system, so that they can then takeover that channel space to expand their own interests.  As a complete surprise and with really no notice to us whatsoever, this is happening at Cox right now.

At this time, I ask for your help to stop this from happening and that you register your support for RFD-TV and RURALTV on FamilyNet by doing the following.

First, immediately write an e-mail or letter to Cox asking them to keep RFD-TV and FamilyNet available to your home. Please send that request directly to me, Patrick@rfdtv.com, as I will then organize all requests and personally deliver them to the decision makers at Cox without delay.

Second, call your local Cox cable system and voice your concern about the possibility of losing RFD-TV or FamilyNet from your channel lineup.  Independent channels are at a huge disadvantage in these types of situations, unless our loyal audience comes to our defense quickly, and in a big way.

Folks, I need thousands of e-mails, letters, and calls, so that we can prove, once and for all, the value and importance of rural, family-oriented programming to Cox cable executives.

No one is more powerful than the American consumer, and no audience is more responsive than ours.

Please help us send the strongest possible message to Cox cable so there is no doubt and this battle is fought only once.

We all have better things to do.

On behalf of all the independent programmers and employees of RFD-TV and FamilyNet, we apologize for any inconvenience to you, and thank you in advance for your response and support.

Be sure to include your name, city, and state where located.

I will keep you informed on any developments.
